Nurture Inspire Challenge
At The United School for Autism (USfA), we specialize in serving children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our unique ABA-based programming challenges all students to reach their highest academic and social potentials. We work closely with parents and our specialized staff to determine the precise goals to be achieved in these two hemispheres.
We proudly offer 2 educational tracks to ensure every student is challenged to the highest level of their abilities:
Transition/Mainstream Track (Grades 1-8): The objective of this rigorous track is to prepare our students with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate into less restrictive/mainstream schools upon completing 8th grade (or sooner). This track aligns its behavioral expectations and academic curriculum with our local districts and specialty schools, while offering up to a 12:1 classroom ratio. Students also participate in a variety of extracurricular classes, social skills development & independent studies.
Main Track (Grades 1-12+): This track is for our students who are able to work in a 4:1 ratio and benefit from our Direct Instruction methodology and curriculum. Students in this track receive individualized academic programming along with our full scope of extracurricular classes, social skills development, life skills courses and a focus on vocational training at our high school level.

“Kids have to be exposed to different things in order to develop. A child’s not going to find out he likes to play a musical instrument if you never expose him to it.”
